I have become very excited about this course, Issues and Trends In Early Childhood. At first I was very nervous and didn't know where to begin, then I just woke up this morning and decided to sit down and get busy.I am excited to be able to establish connections with professionals outside of the United States.
I have chosen to make contact with professionals from Australia and Hong Kong.
I am excitedly waiting to hear back from those whom I have contacted. As soon as I receive a response I will update my post.
In addition, I am researching the National Association of Early Childhood Teacher Educators. Since I began working in ECE I have found that I enjoy sharing what I learn with others and might perhaps someday be interested in teaching adults at our local junior college.

Good luck with the course. Once you jump in, you won't have time to be nervous. I thought about teaching at a community college a couple of years ago as well. I didn't pursue it but, I agree that once you learn it becomes exciting to share.
Hi Crystal!
Good luck with receiving responses back from Australia and Hong Kong. Is there a particular reason you chose these two locations? I look forward to reading what you learn from them!
Hi Crystal
I sent a request to Australia and have not recieve a response. I have a cousin there with his family. Do you have relatives there as well?
Crystal,
You will do great! The instructors have been great and are very supportive. Walden has an excellent support network as well. Australia and Honk Kong are both places on my bucket list...maybe one day! Best of luck making contacts there!
Cheers,
Jeff
Jamie,
I have always had a desire to visit Australia and hopefully someday I will get the opportunity.
I considered choosing Switzerland as my second choice because I spent my honeymoon touring there and thought it was beautiful. But, recently I have been hearing about education in Hong Kong (plus my husband visits there about once a year or so for business) so I chose it as my second location.
Hello Crystal,
Hoping that you hear back from Hong Kong or Australia because I will like to learn new information about since I have a cousin that lives in Japan. I don't know if they are close by or in different areas.
I too am excited about communicating with international colleagues! It was alittle hard fr me to find a second connection, but I will continue to try. I look forward to hearing more from you on our journey to a Masters!!!
